This magnificent old Danish horse breed...is a horse breed at risk of extinction in its original form.

But, what is so special about this horse, and why do certain people use their lives trying to preserve this horse breed?

I will try to get an answer to that.

Over a time span of 5 years, we move across Europe, visiting prehistoric caves in France, royal castles in Denmark. We follow dedicated breeders in Germany and Denmark, chasing the genes which can save this old Danish horse breed from total extinction.
